It all started with Lieutenant Colonel CN Mitchell’s vision to create a memorial at Camp Chilliwack to the Sappers of the British Commonwealth... and then the work began to fulfill this dream, starting with this 42-ton mass of granite-like material located in a quarry at the north end of Harrison Lake....
